Res enjoys a rich tradition in the automotive industry dating back to 1935 as a supplier not only of stamped components and assemblies, but also as a leading-edge provider of technical engineering support in the design and prototype stages.

We have worked closely with our automotive customers on multiple powertrain platforms providing oil pan and cam cover baffles, breather covers, and assemblies for more than 20 years. Our extensive experience in materials, welding and mechanical clinching technology has resulted in numerous design recommendations often yielding savings exceeding 10% of base design costs.

For the last decade, we have developed extensive capabilities in automotive seating applications. This includes our capability to provide simple stamped components where low cost is critical to complex assemblies where Res comprehensive capabilities in MIG and projection welding, riveting, finish coating, overmolding, and general assembly have allowed Res to be a preferred supplier to many automotive manufacturers. Our in-house capabilities in the design and fabrication of check fixtures and poka-yokes allow Res to cost effectively support the high quality needs of the automotive industry.

Res also has extensive experience in the supply of components for exterior, sun-roof, and convertible applications. This is supported by our knowledge in material selection and diverse capabilities in finish coating and specialized parts handling applications.
